-HOT CHOCOLATE-
RECIPE:)
ingredients:
• 1 tbsp cornstarch
• 1 1/2 cup milk
• 1-2 tbsp sugar
• Pinch of salt
• 1 tbsp cocoa powder
• 4 oz dark chocolate
• Whipped cream, cocoa powder/chocolate shavings for serving
instructions:
Step 1:
Mix cornstarch with a little milk until smooth. This will be used later to thicken the hot chocolate. Set it aside.
Step 2:
Place a saucepan on the stove over medium-low heat. Add 1 cup of milk, a bit of sugar, a pinch of salt, and cocoa powder.
Step 3:
Whisk everything together until the mixture is smooth and starts to gently simmer.
Step 4:
Add some dark chocolate and stir until it begins to melt.
Step 5:
Turn off the heat, then pour in the cornstarch slurry you made earlier.
Step 6:
Whisk again until the hot chocolate becomes thick and fully smooth.
Step 7:
Optional: Add peppermint extract or any other flavor you like.
Step 8:
Serve immediately in a cup with whipped cream and chocolate shavings on top.
